Could it be?

Perhaps Donnie Wahlberg wasn't lying after all.

It seems that the unthinkable may be happening.

New Kids on the Block might just be getting back together.

The ledes on the news stories I've seen have all been sort of lame. Things like: "They won't be new and they're certainly not kids anymore ... (ha, ha, ha), but New Kids on the Block might just be getting back on the block."

Oh. My. God.

At first, I thought it was a terrible idea.

But then I went here.

And now I'm completely sold.

Bring them back.

Bring them back now.

Star Wars came back when I was an adult.

I guess if NKOTB is your thing ...

It was my thing, in, like, the hugest way possible. Think posters all over my walls and pure obsession. I was 11.

I don't think this is a good idea for anybody involved, mostly notably kids, new kids, blocks or any combination thereof.

Yikes.

Most notably. Whatever. I need coffee.

Definitely a bad thing. Especially for me having to endure it.

Wrong stuff.

Just hang tough, and for god's sake -- be rough.

Funny Dane! Come on though it's New Kid's On The Block! How fun it would be for those of us that were big fans and for the rest of you it gives you great joke opportunities. Just look at the current posts if you don't believe me. Furthermore, Veronica hasn't had something to really obbsess about for at least two years and lets face it she's not completely herself without something like this to put some of her energy into. I love it!

Hey, look at the bright side: now that NKOTB is getting back together people might also start making fun of Mark Wahlberg again for his time in "Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch"! :)

P.S. I think the NKOTB buzz is really growing now since a radio quiz show that I listen to on Friday mornings played a NKOTB song in the midst of "classic" songs (not a good sign for NKOTB naysayers). :)
